'trash the dress!' and other portraits

Trash the dress is an emotive title used to describe a post wedding high-art fashion shoot with your wedding dress in natural or unusual locations. It is an increasingly popular trend in wedding photography currently offered by only a few UK photographers. On the wedding day itself, there is only a small window of opportunity for bride and photographer to work together and your head will be spinning with all the other events of the day. A trash the dress shoot allows greater use of time and choice of location. Wedding dresses are used only once and spend their remaining years as a reminder to brides of a fantastic day and of a party that lasted just a few hours. Why not consider using the dress to get a fantastic set of pictures to hang on the wall? Combining my passion for wedding photography and modern portraiture I am able to offer a 'trash the dress' shoot for either brides or bride and groom. And with a lot of wiping and dry cleaning - you still get to keep the dress!

As portraits form the core of a wedding shoot, they are clearly an area of photography which I love. Below are links to a selection of commissioned images and some from my own project work
